Applied drawing
A 1916 American school manual on drawing and design by Harold Haven Brown, issued in Chicago by Atkinson, Mentzer & Company for classroom use. Plates run to flat black brush ornament, cross-hatched leaf and scroll panels, lettered rows of geometric square motifs, and ruled interlocking corner borders, giving designers stencil-like units and frames that reproduce cleanly at any size.
