The Architectural magazine
The Architectural Magazine, edited by John Claudius Loudon and issued in London by Longman from 1834, carried technical articles for architects, builders and students. Line engravings diagram masonry construction — semicircular and pointed brick arches, voussoir courses, coursed brickwork, load lines and lettered reference points — usable as clean geometric linework, structural diagrams, or period engineering notation.
