The architecture of Marcus Vitruvius Pollio : in ten books
Joseph Gwilt's 1826 London translation of Vitruvius's ten books on architecture, issued by Priestley and Weale for architects, builders and students of classical antiquity. Line engravings, some with pale hand tinting, give temple elevations with Doric, Ionic and Corinthian orders, half-sectioned to show interior walls, plus theatre plans, fortification walls with round towers, and geometric diagrams of wind directions.
