Practical electricity for beginners
George Alonzo Willoughby's 1921 manual for American shop and manual-training classes, published by the Manual Arts Press in Peoria, Illinois, teaching wiring and circuit work to students with no prior electrical training. The plates are heavy-line ink diagrams of dry cells, lamp sockets, knife switches and bell-wire loops, labelled in hand-lettered capitals with arrows marking current direction, offering thick-stroke circuit schematics and lettered callouts usable as diagrammatic ornament.
