Holly's country seats: containing lithographic designs for cottages, villas, mansions, etc., with their accompanying outbuildings; also, country churches, city buildings, railway stations, etc., etc
A pattern book of house designs by New York architect Henry Hudson Holly, published by D. Appleton in 1863 for builders and clients commissioning suburban and rural homes, churches, and railway stations. The lithographed plates show Gothic Revival and bracketed villas in three-quarter perspective, with board-and-batten walls, steep gables, verandas, towers, and finials, set among sketchy trees and shrub beds; useful for architectural line detail, ornamental woodwork, and landscape vignettes.
