A technical handbook on microscope construction, use, technique and photo-micrography by the Belgian microscopist Henri van Heurck, published in English by Lockwood in London and Van Nostrand in New York in 1893 for working microscopists and laboratory students. Wood-engraved and line figures show brass instruments in three-quarter view, stages, objectives, condensers and optical diagrams — usable as isolated apparatus silhouettes and diagram line work.
