One house-or a hundred.
A 1920 Sears, Roebuck mail-order catalogue of precut house designs, issued from Chicago for prospective home buyers, builders, and landlords putting up one dwelling or whole blocks of them. The plates are hard-line floor plans with hatched walls, stair arrows, labeled rooms and dimensions, and ghosted outlines showing where beds, ranges, and dining tables would stand, all set in letterpress columns of dimension figures and prices good for diagrammatic line work, grid layouts, and small technical lettering.
