A drawing manual by the Armengaud brothers and Jules Amouroux, translated by William Johnson and issued in Philadelphia by H.C. Baird in 1866 for machinists, engineers and architectural draughtsmen. The plates are engraved gear and machine-part studies in fine line with construction arcs, dotted centre lines and grey tinted sections, useful as precise technical linework and mechanical diagram motifs.
