Toy-making in school and home
A 1916 handicraft manual by Ruby Kathleen Polkinghorne, published by Harrap in London for schoolteachers and parents directing children in toy construction. The 249 plates are plain pen diagrams: flat cutting patterns with diagonal hatching and dotted fold lines, and axonometric views of wooden spools, axles and cranks, all keyed with serif capitals and inch measurements usable as instructional-drawing vocabulary.
