Winkles's architectural and picturesque illustrations of the cathedral churches of England and Wales
A three-volume survey of English and Welsh cathedrals engraved by Benjamin Winkles from drawings by Robert Garland, with text by Thomas Moule, published in London in 1836 for antiquarians and church tourists. Steel engravings give exterior views and interiors in fine grey line, with Gothic tracery, buttresses and towers set among trees and small groups of figures for scale.
