The microscope and microscopical methods
A laboratory manual on microscopy by Simon Henry Gage, published in Ithaca, New York by Comstock in 1896 for students and working microscopists. Wood-engraved and halftone figures show brass compound microscopes, stands, camera-lucida and photomicrographic attachments, condensers and stage mechanisms, many keyed with reference letters and numbers usable as instrument silhouettes or technical-diagram fragments.
