Architect and engineer
A monthly architectural trade journal published in San Francisco from 1905 for West Coast architects, engineers, and builders, carrying project reviews, technical articles, and construction advertising. The plates are halftone photographs of finished buildings — stucco hillside houses, tile-roofed clinics, streamlined commercial blocks — shot in flat daylight with deep shade, useful for period facades, signage lettering, railings, window grids, and grainy architectural backgrounds.
