An 1880 English translation by L. M. Fishback of Alfred Niaudet's technical manual on electric batteries, issued in New York by J. Wiley & Sons for engineers and students of electricity. The wood engravings show jars, zinc and carbon elements, and wired cell assemblies in line-shaded perspective with italic letter keys, useful as diagrammatic apparatus imagery and cutaway conventions.
