The plates are line engravings and hatched diagrams of dynamos, field magnets, armatures and coil windings, with arrows tracing current paths and letters marking poles and terminals; usable as stock of repeating coil spirals, wound cylinders, directional arrow systems and labelled apparatus silhouettes.
