A history of Gothic art in England
Edward S. Prior's 1900 survey of English Gothic architecture, published in London by G. Bell and Sons for architects, students and antiquarians. The plates are pen-and-ink measured studies of arcades, vaults, window tracery and carved doorway mouldings, drawn in fine parallel hatching that renders masonry courses and foliage capitals as flat linear pattern, useful for line-art borders, arch motifs and architectural ornament.
