Manuel du conducteur des ponts et chausseâes : d'apráes le dernier programme officiel des examens d'admission
A French civil-engineering handbook by Ernest Endrès, published in Paris by Gauthier-Villars in 1873 to prepare candidates for the official entrance examinations for road and bridge inspectors. The 158 wood-engraved figures are small technical diagrams set into the text: sections through masonry footings and lock gates, timber trestle frames, sluice gears, and hatched ground profiles, useful as line-texture patterns, cutaway conventions, and lettered mechanical detail.
