Architect and engineer
Architect and Engineer was a monthly trade journal published in San Francisco from 1905 for West Coast architects, engineers, contractors and building-material suppliers. Its plates are coarse-screen halftones of finished buildings and graphite perspective renderings, plus floor plans and construction details, favoring flat stucco and brick facades, ribbon windows and street-level views with small figures and street trees; useful for mid-century modern building silhouettes, window grids and grainy architectural photographic texture.
