The art of Florence, an interpretation
An interpretive survey of Florentine painting and sculpture written by Harry Huntington Powers and issued in 1912 by the University Prints in Newton, Massachusetts, for students and lecture-course readers. The 121 plates are dark halftone reproductions of frescoes and panels, including Sistine Ceiling figures, spandrel and lunette compositions, and arched refectory scenes, useful for silhouetted nude figures, painted architectural framing, and heavy tonal grounds.
