Practical treatise on gearing
A technical manual on gear design issued by the Brown & Sharpe Manufacturing Company of Providence, Rhode Island, in 1892, written for machinists, draftsmen and toolmakers. The plates are line diagrams in black on tinted stock: tooth profiles traced by radiating construction lines, lettered reference points, helical cutter layouts and tables of pitch figures useful as geometric line ornament.
