Railway master mechanic
A trade periodical for railway shop foremen and mechanical engineers, issued from 1878 by Simmons-Boardman in New York and gathered here from the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. The plates are dimensioned line drawings of locomotive and car parts — plans, elevations and sections of trucks, axles, brake rigging and girders, thick with leader lines and fraction-inch figures usable as technical pattern or background.
