A textbook on mechanical and electrical engineering
A correspondence-course textbook on mechanical and electrical engineering issued by the International Correspondence Schools in Scranton, Pennsylvania, 1898-99, for working tradesmen studying by mail. The engravings are technical line diagrams: expansion curves plotted on ruled axes with lettered points, sectioned cylinders and tanks rendered in hatching and solid black, water jets arcing from tank orifices, and axonometric sketches of planes with labelled force arrows, useful as sources of labelled geometry, hatch textures, and arrow notation.
