Methods in microscopial research; vegetable histology
A practical manual on microscope technique and plant tissue preparation, written by Abraham Flatters and published by Sherratt and Hughes in London in 1905 for laboratory workers and students of botany. The plates are hand-drawn and hand-tinted views down the microscope: numbered cell fields in ochre, pink and pale green, circular field-of-view frames, stained nuclei as dense black dots, and outlined cell walls that read as usable line-and-wash pattern.
