A mechanical drawing textbook by Linus Faunce, printed in Boston in 1887 for engineering students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The plates are line-engraved geometric constructions on cream stock: tangent and nested circles, dashed construction lines, lettered points, epicycloid and involute tracings, and star polygons inscribed in circles, usable as compass-drawn diagram motifs and technical ornament.
