Architect and engineer
A monthly architectural and building trade journal published in San Francisco from 1905 for West Coast architects, engineers and contractors, carrying project reports, construction notes and advertising. The plates mix halftone photographs of new concrete and stucco buildings with graphite and charcoal perspective renderings, giving designers streamlined 1930s facades, ribbon windows, vertical pier motifs, landscaped entry courts and soft tonal drawing textures.
