A hand book of general instruction for mechanics, containing useful rules and memoranda for practical men
A pocket handbook of rules, arithmetic and measurement for working mechanics, written by Franklin Elijah Smith and published by D. Van Nostrand in New York in 1907. The figures are small line diagrams of plane areas — parallelograms, trapezoids, triangles — filled with fine hatching and marked with dimension arrows and foot measurements, useful as geometric marks, rule-and-arrow motifs and hatch textures.
