Handbook for architects and builders
A professional reference handbook issued by the Illinois Society of Architects in Chicago in 1898 for practicing architects, builders and contractors working in the city. Its 266 plates mix ruled line drawings of wall sections, plumbing traps and Doric column orders with dimensioned measurements and lettered keys, plus halftone photographs of steel reinforcing cages on building sites, useful for hatching patterns, annotated diagram styles and construction-site imagery.
