Architect and engineer
A monthly trade journal published in San Francisco from 1905 for West Coast architects, engineers and builders, carrying project reports, plans and advertising. The plates are halftone photographs of California houses, schools and commercial buildings—raking sunlight, deep shadow, stucco and clapboard walls, ribbon windows—alongside pencil and wash perspective renderings, useful for mid-century modern architectural reference, high-contrast building silhouettes and period presentation drawing styles.
