The carpenter's new guide: being a complete book of lines for carpentry and joinery
A trade manual of geometric line-drawing for carpenters and joiners, written by Peter Nicholson and revised by architect William Johnston, issued in Philadelphia by Lippincott, Grambo in 1850 for builders and apprentices. The engraved plates give arcs, groined vault plans, arch centring and stair development in fine hairlines with lettered points and light grey shading, useful as technical diagram texture.
