Mediæval military architecture in England

Clark, George Thomas, 1809-1898 · 1884 · London, Wyman & sons · 69 pictures

A two-volume antiquarian survey of English castles and earthworks by engineer and archaeologist George Thomas Clark, published in London by Wyman & Sons in 1884 for architects, historians and antiquarian societies. The plates are line-engraved ground plans, sections and site surveys: keeps in solid black hatching, curtain walls, mottes and ditches drawn as hachured banks, lettered keys, north arrows and scale bars in feet.
