A manual of geometrical and mechanical drawing by William Minifie, published in Baltimore in 1850 for machinists, draughtsmen and schoolchildren learning construction, projection and perspective. The plates are engraved line diagrams on tinted paper — arcs, radiating construction lines, dotted projections, lettered points, and shaded solids that grade tone to show cast shadows on cylinders and cubes.
