Architect and engineer
Architect and Engineer was a monthly trade journal published in San Francisco from 1905 for West Coast architects, engineers, and building contractors. Its halftone photographs cover carved figure sculpture, walled patio gardens with tiled pools, retail and showroom interiors with display cases, and painted signage such as a circular interlaced monogram, giving designers period reference for Californian architectural detail, lettering, and interior fittings.
