A monthly trade journal for West Coast architects, engineers and builders, published in San Francisco from 1905 and circulated to practising professionals and the building trades. Its plates are halftone photographs of California houses and public buildings, shot through foreground foliage with captions naming owner, city and architect, plus plans and construction details useful for period stucco facades, window rhythms and soft grey photographic texture.
