A drawing manual issued by the Ontario Department of Education and printed in Toronto in 1916 for use by public school teachers and pupils. The plates run from flat grey wash studies of hills and foliage to bold contour drawings of trees and plants in ruled rectangles, giving designers simple framed landscape silhouettes, brush-mass tone exercises, and art nouveau plant outlines suited to panels and borders.
