Discourses on architecture
Eugène-Emmanuel Viollet-le-Duc's Discourses on Architecture, translated by Henry Van Brunt and issued in Boston by Ticknor in 1875 for architects and builders studying Gothic and rational construction. The plates are keyed line engravings: sections through vaults and galleries, roof framing, floor plans with scale bars, and small human figures for scale, usable as fine-line technical diagram and lettered-key material.
