Making advertisements and making them pay
A 1920 trade manual on advertising practice by agency man Roy S. Durstine, issued in New York by Charles Scribner's Sons for copywriters, artists, and businessmen buying space. Pen-line drawings and reproduced trade-magazine cuts mix loose cartoon vignettes of office and street life with clean fashion-plate figures, cottage spot illustrations, and framed vignettes usable as headers, mastheads, and column ornaments.
