Pumps and hydraulics
A two-volume trade manual on hydraulic machinery and pumping engines written by Nehemiah Hawkins and issued by Theo. Audel in New York in 1905 for engineers, mechanics and students. The 247 wood-engraved figures are mostly sectional views of pumps, valves and cylinders, hatched to show cut metal, with key letters and arrows marking water flow useful as diagram language.
