Architect and engineer
A monthly trade journal for architects, engineers and builders on the Pacific Coast, published in San Francisco from 1905 and illustrated with photographs of recent West Coast work. The plates are coarse-screen halftones of stucco schools and houses: banks of steel windows, deep-shadowed colonnades and carports, clipped lawns and concrete walks, useful for flat grey tonal blocks and hard building silhouettes.
