Powell's practical advertiser : a practical work for advertising writers and business men, with instruction on planning, preparing, placing and managing modern publicity
A self-published trade manual on writing, planning and placing advertisements, issued by George Henry Powell in New York in 1905 for copywriters, agency men and merchants. The pictures are pen-and-ink stock cuts and specimen ad art: a bell-ringing town crier in knee breeches, agitated figures in heavy black hatching, and crosshatched portrait heads of businessmen, useful as small spot illustrations and as models for economical line shading.
