Practical mechanics and allied subjects
A 1915 McGraw-Hill textbook of applied mechanics by Joseph W. L. Hale, written in New York for machinists, shop apprentices and engineering students. The plates are spare pen-and-ink line diagrams — triangles, circles, levers and inclined planes — carried by dimension arrows, dashed construction lines, angle arcs and hand-lettered measurements in feet and inches, useful as ready-made technical schematic marks and measurement notation.
