The principles of pattern making, written specially for apprentices and students in technical schools
A technical manual on foundry pattern making by Joseph Gregory Horner, published by Pitman in London and New York in 1900 for apprentices and technical-school students. The line engravings show wooden pattern blocks, cores and moulds in plan and section, with dense hand-hatched wood grain, dashed centre lines, arrows and letter keys that designers can lift as texture and diagram vocabulary.
