A text-book of electrical engineering;
An English translation of Adolf Thomälen's Kurzes Lehrbuch der Elektrotechnik, issued by E. Arnold in London in 1920 as a course text for engineering students. The 251 figures are line diagrams of machine cross-sections, field and flux paths, commutators and brushes, with dot-and-cross current symbols, hatched pole pieces, dashed field lines and lettered vector angles — a stock of clean technical marks usable as pattern, ornament or schematic shorthand.
