Dictionnaire raisonné de l'architecture française du XIe au XVIe siècle
Eugène-Emmanuel Viollet-le-Duc's alphabetical dictionary of French architecture from the 11th to 16th centuries, issued in Paris by A. Morel in 1875 for architects, restorers and students of medieval building. The plates are fine-line engravings of vaults, arches, piers and capitals, drawn in section, elevation and cutaway perspective with lettered keys and coursed masonry hatching, giving designers precise line stock for structural diagrams, ornament details and technical drawing textures.
