The architecture of Provence and the Riviera
An architectural survey of southern France by the Scottish architect David MacGibbon, published in Edinburgh in 1888 for architects, antiquaries and travellers. Pen-and-ink drawings record Romanesque churches, cloister arcades, vaulted interiors, town gates and hill-set abbeys in dense hatching, giving designers linear building elevations, arch and capital details, and stone-texture shading that reproduces cleanly at small sizes.
