A West Coast trade monthly published in San Francisco from 1905, carrying building news, specifications and project reviews for practising architects, engineers and contractors. Halftone photographs show mid-century commercial and industrial buildings in flat frontal or three-quarter street views: ribbon windows, blank stucco walls, parked sedans and delivery trucks, plus night shots where lit glazing reads as white grids on black.
