Cyclopedia of architecture, carpentry, and building : a general reference work
A multi-volume technical reference on architecture, carpentry, and building issued by the American Technical Society in Chicago in 1912 for tradesmen, contractors, and correspondence-school students. The plates are engineering line drawings — sections through concrete piers, cofferdams, forms, and floor beams — using diagonal hatching, stippled fill for concrete and gravel, load arrows, and letter keys, useful as ready-made cutaway diagrams and hatch-texture patterns.
