Frederick Grover's 1902 technical manual on gas and oil engines, issued in Manchester by The Technical Publishing Co. for engineers, works managers and engineering students. The 151 figures are line engravings of engine anatomy: sectional views of cylinders, valves, governors and carburettors, hatched to mark cut metal, with part letters and arrows for gas flow, useful as diagrammatic pattern and mechanical ornament.
