A 1902 volume of the International Library of Technology's correspondence-course series, issued by the International Textbook Company of Scranton to train working electricians and engineers. The line diagrams show dynamo armatures ringed with dot-and-cross winding symbols, dashed magnetic flux loops, hatched field coils, and bare switch-and-circuit schematics that supply ready-made geometric motifs of concentric rings, arrows, and directional notation.
