Radford's cyclopedia of construction; carpentry, building and architecture. Based on the practical experience of a large staff of experts in actual constrcution work
A multi-volume trade reference on carpentry, building and architecture compiled by William A. Radford and Alfred Sidney Johnson for the Radford Architectural Co. in Chicago, 1909, aimed at working builders and apprentices. The line engravings are labelled construction details in plan and section — framing members, wall and window assemblies, lettered callouts and dimensions — usable as diagram vocabulary, technical borders, or hatched wood-grain textures.
