Spur and bevel gearing; a treatise on the principles, dimensions, calculation, design and strength of spur and bevel gearing, together with chapters on special tooth forms and methods of cutting gear teeth
A 1914 engineering treatise from The Industrial Press in New York, compiled from Machinery magazine material for machinists, draftsmen and shop engineers working out gear dimensions and tooth strength. The plates are line drawings in the drafting convention of the period: sectioned gear blanks with hatched hubs, pitch cones, dimension arrows and Greek-letter angle notation, useful as ready-made technical diagram vocabulary.
