Drake & Co. in Chicago in 1907 for machinists, draftsmen and students working without a teacher. The plates are line drawings of riveted plate joints, flanged bearings, bolted housings and geometric projections, built from hatched sections, centre lines, dashed hidden edges and lettered dimension callouts that can be reused as technical ornament, diagram borrowings or pattern fields.
